The evil is coming to DC

The "former" Nazi Pope Joseph Ratzinger is arriving this Tuesday April 15 to Washington, DC. He will meet local Catholic fans both in DC and NYC.

The Pope's itinerary suggests that he is trying to become a pop star, but not as hard as his predecessor Carol Wojtyla did very well. There will be a 'Popemobile', huge mass celebrations and public events at the White House, Nationals Park stadium and Catholic University in DC. Also at St. Patrick's cathedral, the United Nations (he will turn 81 on Friday 18), Ground Zero and the Yankee stadium in NYC.

Let me start saying that although I was raised Catholic, but after many years of reflexion and a long learning process I decided to become agnostic. I try to be respectful of other's faiths and beliefs.

But in this case I won't remain silent about a man who says he represents his God in this planet -no sense- while being an evil person. That alone disgusts me. Ratzinger has the nerve to try to lead this world being a homophobic, anti-women, anti-choice, anti-liberation theology and an undercover racist. I can't support such a man.

Ratzinger is a homophobic and he considers people like myself are evil, just because we weren't born heterosexuals. I am not the evil person hating on others Mr. Ratzinger, you are. And please all brain-washed Catholics should read this post by Rev. Irene Monroe titled Benedict XVI, Spiritual Gay-basher.

Ratzinger is a racist because he still believes in the superiority of the European church and "its values" over the rest of cultures and races. In his views, dark is still bad and light or white is a sign of good. He said last year in Brazil that his church had "purified" Indigenous peoples during and that the Vatican had not imposed itself on Native peoples during the European invasion of this continent in the XVI century.

As a descendant of the original civilizations that lived in this continent (Abya Yala) I am very aware that my people were victims of the biggest genocide in human history: over 70 million Native people killed, tortured, massacred, slaved, infested. So I want to remind everyone that the man who is coming to the US as God's envoy represents a church that has been the main promoter, sponsor and financial supporter of such a crime against the humanity, and the biggest responsible for the attempt to destroy our culture and heritage. Even worse they haven't even apologized about it and they refuse to revoke the 1493 Inter Caetera Papal Bull that authorized and blessed all those crimes. Ever since 1992 there is a world movement trying to get that bull revoked:

To: the Vatican and Pope John Paul II

On November 28, 1998, Pope John Paul II called "Christianity's 2000th anniversary a year of mercy," as reported by AP, saying "the church will seek forgiveness," "atonement," and that he "wants the church to enter the third millennium with a clear conscience."

We, the undersigned, join with Indigenous Peoples everywhere in calling upon Pope John Paul II to revoke the 1493 Bull "Inter Caetera." We recognize that this initiative would be a spiritually significant step towards creating a new way of life, and a step away from the greed and subjugation in a history that has oppressed, exploited and destroyed countless numbers of Indigenous Peoples throughout the world.

The Bull "Inter Caetera," like many other edicts issued before it by the Vatican, established Christian dominion and subjugation of non-Christian peoples and their lands. It has yet to be revoked. Read more here.

While the mainstream media keeps promoting a positive image of the fanatic leader of the Catholic church, in reality there are people in the US -including members of that faith- that will not be happy to see Benedict XVI in person. Several protests are being planned in DC and NYC.

And before I end this angry post, check out this video. The Washington Post's Pope Watch blog has posted this DC Metro system ad that was pulled after protests of conservative Catholics.

Have a nice week.
