Two Reasons to go Vegetarian: It can Cure Diabetes and can Stop Slaughtering of 10 Billion Animals in U.S. [VIDEO]

... and because I like PETA's Gilbert Arenas poster.

For a long time I’ve been thinking and trying to go vegetarian
, which I do for months and then I stop. But when I met these folks I got a strong reason to do it. The folks of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), were giving away free tofu BBQ “chicken” samples to people at DC’s Chinatown.

Katie, the lady in this video, responded to every question I have had for a long time, and she almost convinced me to go vegan, at least I haven’t eaten red meat every since I recorded this video. It’s really true.

Also I have a friend who has Type 2 Diabetes who after watching this video also stopped eating read meats, he even had 2 freezers full of meat, which he either gave away or trashed. Here is the video:

Check out PETA’s “Vegetarian Starter Kit” and share it with friends, show this to your kids, and check out this great website if you are REALLY trying to go vegetarian.

By the way, PETA is still considering Gilbert Arenas as one its role models, which I am Ok. with, only because Arenas is not the only stupid man walking around with guns in this country, but at least he is not killing anyone.

  1. i'm vegetarian. but I despise peta; they are racist and super sizest and sexist. have you seen this ad?

i hate the fact that vegetarians and vegans of color are often left out of discussion and media about vegetarianism, and healthy eating. and that peta has no discussion about differences in access to healthy eating, and lack of resources and fresh veggies and fruits in low income neighborhoods. AND that they assume all vegetarians are thin, and white. i am neither and have been vegetarian for over 10 years and black for much longer, lol. but hey, the gilbert arenas poster IS nice :)

    thanks for sharing, Carlos!

  2. Great timing, Carlos. I was just writing about meat and diabetes, myself... or, rather, diabetes and persistent organic pollutants (which is proving to be the cause of diabetes).

We are exposed to an absurd amount of these pollutants every day.

And the main source of our exposure? According to an old study by the EPA: beef, milk, pork, eggs, chicken, etc.

    It's worth a look: http://www.dominionpaper.ca/articles/3129

  3. BTW there's other problems with PETA too - or at least, some PETA groups, who think Indigenous People shouldn't wear furs or any kind of animal skins.

It's another variation of colonialism (Christian moral doctrine). And it's misplaced.
