Yesterday the D.C. Metro system was taken over by Glenn Beck fans, teabaggers, whatever you want to call them. They were going to their 'Restore the Honor' Rally at the Lincoln Memorial.
Most of them lined up for hours at Metro stops, buying one farecard at a time. They were there as early as 6:00 AM. I helped some of them even if they said no at first. Most of them would use only the first car of the train for some reason. They were orderly and respectful, but Metro employees didn't seem too happy. Most of them wore funny t-shirts. Here is what I saw:

ReplyDeleteHow did you get away with filming? I was told i wasn't allowed to during the Immigration Rally this year on the Metro. Oh well. Good work. Glad you were there to record history.
