Update: I'd like to thank those of you who donated. I have bought a new video camcorder and I will post a video acknowledging those who kindly replied to my campaign. Muchas gracias!
Hello readers and friends. I would like to ask for your support to continue my work as a video blogger. A month ago I lost my only camcorder during the 2012 LGBT Capital Pride Parade, when a volunteer offered her help but later on, she vanished with my camera.
That day not only I lost beautiful footage of the parade but I lost the only video camcorder I've been using in the past few years. Since then, I haven't been able to continue video blogging even when I tried to use a small photo camera, I can't achieve a good quality work.
As you know, I'm a video blogger, free-lance writer, social media activist and artist painter based in Washington, DC. I've been recording videos for my blogs since 2006 for my blogs: Carlos in DC, Peruanista, Two Spirits One. Most of my videos are posted in YouTube in the channels: Carlos in DC / Peruanista / TwoSpiritsOne) Vimeo and other video websites.
As a result of my not-for profit work, I've been invited to 5 social media conferences in the U.S. and people can re-use my videos free of charge, as my contribution for the community. I do not receive any type of private nor public funding, whatsoever.
Please consider making a donation in this link, no matter what the amount is. As a retribution I will send you a small abstract painting of mine (20" x 40") and a thank you mention in my blogs and videos, if you prefer.
Most importantly, your support will allow me to continue doing some things that already have made a difference in people's lives and mine, in a very good way. Thank you in advance.
